This is an image of a firefighting robot my friends and I built in school. The goal of the project was to build a robot that went through a maze and extinguished a small fire autonomously. We used ultrasonic sensors to detect the walls of the maze, and a flame sensor to sense the flame. We used modified servo motors to make the robot move forward, and a fan to extinguish the flame (not attached in this picture). Overall, a fun project, I enjoyed designing and constructing the robot with my friends. We used arduino to control the movement of the robot based on the reading from the flame and ultrasonic sensors.
