Hello! My name is Avni, and I just graduated Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto. I enjoy learning about alternative energy systems, manufacturing technologies, and using CAD software to create 3D models of mechanical designs.

The Projects pages highlight a few of the design projects I have worked on. Most recently, my Capstone project, which involved redesigning the opening mechanism of a tailgate and building a functional prototype. I have noticed that I enjoy working on design and robotics projects, for example, the Fire Fighting robot my team and I built in high school. I find automation from a manufacturing perspective fascinating, since it combines several streams of engineering and creates systems that come to life in front of you!

Some of my hobbies include nature photography, reading (my favourite book is, If on a Winter's Night a Traveller, by Italo Calvino), and practicing Solidworks; I have my CSWA and I am currently learning to use Weldments.
